The preceding background, this background and the next two were all taken from the same image, obviously. The tiles consist of different parts of the whole image. You'll notice that the part of the image that I used for this background is a bit larger than the last one. One thing you should be aware of is that the file size is larger too, and will take longer to load into a browser on the web.

If you're designing a web site for business, keep in mind that friends, family and someone surfing for the fun of it have a lot more patience with slow-loading pages than a potential customer on a business page and that your page can look good without being terribly ornate. Potential customers are looking for something specific and don't want to wait around when there are hundreds of other sites on the web that offer the same product or service. A business site needs to load fast and be obviously easy to navigate.

Once again, let me say that you don't have to put everything on the front page. A broad outline of the goods and services that you offer with links to detailed information helps keep your load time to a minimum.

Of course, this is easy for me to say. I deal with graphics and art. People EXPECT the download time to be longer :).
