The Masked Dancer ends Saturday night with high audience figures | Reality TV, UK TV ratings

The Masked Dancer finale peaked in audiences on Saturday night.

Masked Dancer UK’s debut series aired all week on ITV.


The Masked Singer spin-off sees celebrities dancing to put on a standout dance performance, while their true identities are hidden under outrageous costumes.

Joel Dommett presented the show with famous judges Oti Mabuse, Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross.

Saturday night’s final episode saw an average audience of just under 4 million viewers, peaking at nearly 5 million.

It was the most-watched show on Saturday night and the highest-rated episode of the series, with viewership numbers generally increasing throughout its airing.

As of yet, ITV has not confirmed whether The Masked Dancer will be back for a second outing.

Contestants who entered the first round were Beetroot, Knickerbocker Glory, Frog, Scarecrow, Zip, Carwash, Viper, Squirrel, Flamingo, Rubber Chicken, Lama and Beagle.

The show also saw guest appearances from John Bishop, David Walliams and Holly Willoughby.
